Nymassorb BT113 - A Blend Of Benzotriazole UV Filters
Nymassorb BT-113 is a liquid blend of two benzotriazole derivatives acting as UV broad absorption filters, with PEG 300 acting as their dissolving/dispersing aid. It is temperature and solvent resistant, and has long been the UV protector of choice for solvent and water–borne coatings and especially for the protection of UV-sensitive substrates such as wood and plastics. It is the same composition as another "brand name" UV filter that is widely used but has been in short supply lately, so can be used as an alternative.
Component A (50%, CAS 104810-48-2): β-[3-(2-H-Benzotriazole-2-yl)-4-hydroxy-5-tert.butylphenyl]-propionic acid-poly(ethylene glycol) 300 ester
Component B (38%, CAS 104810-48-1): Bis{β-[3-(2-H-Benzotriazole-2-yl)-4-hydroxy-5-tert.butylphenyl]-propionic acid}-poly(ethylene glycol) 300 ester
Component C (12%, CAS 25322-68-3) : Poly(ethylene glycol) 300, or PEG 300
